Word Association

  1. Prepare a large set of word cards using all parts of speech, from nouns to adverbs.
  2. Students will pick a card and then write down every word they can think of that is related to the chosen word.
  3. This will give them practice in word association, writing, and vocabulary skills.
  4. You may also want to make this a spelling activity by having them check one another's spelling on the words they have written.
