Unifix Animals

  1. At the Phonics Center, make a list of animal names accompanied by corresponding pictures.
  2. Have your students create the letters of the names using Unifix cubes.
  3. In order to reinforce the individual letters, they should make each animal word several times.
  4. Once they have experimented with making the Unifix words, you may want to have them compare the words by counting the cubes they use for each name.
