Matching Animals To Their Names

  1. Create a 5x6 grid numbered 1-30 out of thick tagboard. Cut out the squares from the tagboard along the gridlines.
  2. On the backs of the cards of tagboard draw or paste pictures of animals on half of them. On the other half, put the names of these animals.
  3. Students play a matching game with the cards.
  4. This can easily be made more difficult by having students match scientists to their inventions, objects to their scientific names, etc.
