Center Focus

Alphabetizing Objects

  1. You will need to have long strips of chart paper, magazines, and glue for this center.
  2. Have students find pictures of things starting with all letters of the alphabet in magazines, from A to Z.
  3. They need to cut them out and paste them in alphabetical order on the strip of paper.
  4. Have them write the name of the object beneath the picture.
  5. You can also make this more challenging by having them pick a letter, cut out things starting with that letter, and then alphabetizing them.
