Center Focus

Hackey Sack

  1. You will need to have several hackey sacks available for this center.
  2. Students should work in groups of three or four; they must juggle the sack with their feet, knees and legs. They cannot touch the sack with their hands, but they may use their head or chest to "bat" the ball around.
  3. Have them keep track of the number of juggles for 20 separate games. A game ends when the sack touches the floor.
  4. Have them calculate the average number of juggles and write a brief conclusion as to whether they improved with subsequent games.
