Center Focus

  1. Make (or have parents help you make) several puppets out of various materials such as socks and paper bags. Have these available at the Art center for your students to reference.
  2. Students will choose a favorite character from a book they like or a book you've been reading in class of which to make a puppet.
  3. Provide lots of different kinds of materials for your class to work with, enabling them to be original.
  4. Have a puppet show, dramatizing the different stories that your students chose.
