Area of a Shamrock

  1. You will need to get an outline of a shamrock that is easily reproducible or just download this one.
  2. Have your kids figure out the approximate area covered by the shamrock. They will have to measure it in sections using area formulas for their basic shapes.
  3. Let your students experiment with ways of measuring or splitting up areas to measure the clover. There are many ways to do this.
