Macaroni Names

This is a great center for students beginning to learn to spell their names.
  1. You will need to dye macaroni different colors. You can easily do this using isopropyl alcohol and food coloring. For really bright colors, you may have to soak the macaroni more than once.
  2. Have students make their names out of macaroni and glue them to construction paper or tagboard.
  3. You may add a challenge to make a pattern using the colors or you can just let the students experiment on their own.
