The Color Mix-Up

  1. You will need food coloring and shaving cream for this fun center. The colors that are most effective are red, blue, and yellow.
  2. Have students experiment with color. Instruct them to put one or two drops of two differing colors in a dollop of shaving cream and mix it together. The should record what color is produced.
  3. They can continue doing this until they've mixed all of the colors in different combinations.
  4. Make sure to have plenty of towels handy for clean up!
