Olympic Events from A to Z

  1. Using a pocket chart, make a list of Olympic events on individual word cards. You will also need to make rebus picture cards that correspond with each event. You can make these using clip art, pictures from magazines or newspapers, or draw pictures yourself.
  2. Have your students put the cards in alphabetical order.
  3. They should then place the pictures next the word that names the event shown.
  4. You can make this a handwriting activity too by having them copy the words onto paper.
