Alphabetizing Mania!

  1. Have several groups of alphabet cards, picture cards, word cards, objects, etc. A variety of letters of the alphabet should be represented in order for your class to get practice alphabetizing. You may also want to have them alphabetize class notebooks or folders by students' names.
  2. Have each student choose 3 different sets of things to alphabetize.
  3. They should record one of these sets on paper by writing the names of the objects or words on their own paper in alphabetical order.
  4. This can also act as a handwriting activity.
