Paint by Title

  1. You will need to gather many prints or pictures of paintings for this activity. Write the names of the paintings on index cards.
  2. Have your kids randomly pick a title and paint a picture based on the title.
  3. Then have them compare their painting with the actual one! They will have a lot of fun with this activity.
  4. This is a fun activity, but the art of painting itself should still be stressed during the activity. You may want to have some other paintings available for your students to peruse to get ideas for color and technique.
