"A Busy Year" Art

  1. Have your students read Leo Lionni's A Busy Year. It shows the seasons that a tree goes through and it's relationship with two mice friends.
  2. Leo Lionni makes his pictures using a collage of construction paper, paint, crayon, etc. His art style is very unique.
  3. Have your students make their own collages to show the seasons. They can divide a large piece of construction paper into four sections, one for each season. Or you can have them choose a particular month to depict.
