Center Focus

Where Is This?

  1. Provide pictures depicting buildings from different countries. Either use famous buildings such as the Taj Mahal from India, Moscow's St. Basil's Cathedral, or buildings representative of particular cultures such as the longhouses of Southeast Asian countries or Buddist temples and pagodas of China.
  2. Have students predict where they think they would find these buildings.
  3. They should explain their reasoning.
  4. Have plenty of books available for students to research these structures to check their predictions.
