Interactive Bulletin Boards

Who’s Who in the Age of Exploration?

This is an excellent activity to help your students learn about the different explorers involved in the Age of Exploration time period. You will need to create word cards with the names of the explorers about whom your class is learning. You may also want to add their pictures to these cards. Attach these cards side-by-side to the bulletin board in a chart fashion. Draw vertical lines between each explorer. The students will then place descriptions of the explorers (which you have prepared) underneath the matching name. These can be about their origin, their actual trips, and any other information you wish for them to learn. You will want to have a self-check available for your kids.
