Icebreaker Puzzle
Here's an idea submitted by Hope via the Innovative Classroom Message Board: Take a large piece of butcher paper and cut it into puzzle-shaped pieces. Have each student (and yourself) write their name on their piece and cut out or draw pictures of three things that describe themselves. Have each student explain theirs to the class, and then have the students work as a team to put the puzzle together. You can put it on a bulletin board that says "We are all an important piece of our classroom puzzle!"
