Interactive Bulletin Boards
The Human Body
Cut out a large outline of the human body, laminate and staple it onto a bulletin board. Using different colors of butcher or construction paper, trace and cut-out shapes of the major body organs: brain, heart, lungs, stomach, liver, kidneys, etc. Write the names of these parts on the shapes in black ink. Laminate these pieces as well. Make a pocket on the edge of the bulletin board where you can keep the organ shapes. Students will attach the organs in the correct places on the body. Also have a check-sheet or pictures of the body available for students to check their work. You may also do this activity when studying about bones, muscles, and just basic body parts for younger students.
