Make an area of your classroom dedicated to frequently-used words. Divide it into 26 sections (one for each letter of the alphabet). You can either make the Word Wall out of large butcher paper and simply divide it into sections using markers or you can use different pieces of construction paper and vary the colors to create the sections. You may want to laminate the separate pieces of construction paper so you can add new words easily with wipe-off markers. As your students come across words that they frequently use, you can add these to the Word Wall. This will give your students a place to look when learning to write.
