Art Exhibit

After teaching students a new skill during art time (such as portraits, landscapes, still-life, water color), create an Art Exhibit for your classroom. Mount the artwork on larger pieces of heavy construction paper and make a label, including the student's name, the date, and title of the work, and attach it to the front of the work. Either display these in your room or around the school where everyone may see! Invite parents in to see the pictures as well. This will help students to appreciate art as an important part of learning.
