Plants make a great addition to any classroom. They provide a continuous learning experience for your kids. You can grow houseplants, flowers, and vegetables to get your kids interested and excited about botany and/or agriculture. Have your students try propagating using different methods and encourage experimentation with soils, fertilizers, watering, and sunlight. Your kids may keep scientific observations on the plants for centers or for specific science projects. They will enjoy growing their own vegetables and they will learn a great deal about what it takes to have productive plants.
