Organized Learning

Musical Names

As an extra activity in the art/music area of your classroom, have students guess the names of songs by listening to the lyrics. You will need headphones and a tape/CD player. Make sure to cover the titles of the songs so your kids can't see them. They will play the music as many times as they need in order to make an educated guess for the title of the song. Have the actual names of the songs available in a separate container; you can out a number on the tape/CD and a corresponding number on a card with the actual song title. This is a great activity for sharpening listening and concentration skills.
