Organized Learning

Class Pet

This is a good activity for younger kids. Get a simple basket or box and a stuffed animal for your kids to tote home every weekend. Each student will get a chance to bring it home and "take care of it" for a weekend. They should report any "neat" things they did with their stuffed pet in a continuing class journal about your Class Pet. On Monday, the student that brought the pet home should read their journal entry to the class and answer any questions they may have.
