Drop Everything And Read! Schools throughout the country are devoting time everyday for DEAR. At this time, students read silently or quietly with partners. They can read books they bring from home, checkout from the library, or books from your classroom library. It often works well if you keep the time each day consistent so students can be ready with their book as soon as DEAR time begins.
