Bell Work

All About Hanukkah

Write the word Hanukkah or Chanukah on a large piece of paper. Cut out the individual letters. Another option is to make individual stenciled letters. Make several sets of the letters (one for each table/group). Have students work together to form "a" word. You can give hints as needed. After they have spelled out Hanukkah, have them brainstorm what they know about this celebration by writing on the letters. This will be a good springboard for a discussion on Hannukah.
