Bell Work

Grocery Shopping

Have your students "buy" groceries for a week. Provide newspaper advertisements from different grocery stores. As a group, the students must "buy" food for a family of four, covering all food groups. The amount of food they purchase must last for a week. The object is to spend as little money as possible and still get everything that is needed. Have tables compare outcomes when they are finished.
