Bell Work

The Iditarod

The Iditarod Sled Dog Race in Alaska, from Nome to Anchorage, is currently underway. The race coves 1150 miles and is usually completed between 10 and 17 days. Give your kids this information and have them figure out how many miles are run each day. They may be able to make an estimate of the hours run per day by taking into account current weather conditions and resting time.
