News Story Comparison

You will need several different newspaper, magazine, or internet articles covering the same story for this activity. Make copies of the articles, so each group has one of each. Have the groups read each article and write about the similarities and differences among them. Have your kids consider bias and decide if the articles can be trusted. Discuss with them the difficulty of getting trustworthy news and the need for getting different viewpoints.
