Parts of Speech
Write several sentences on sentence strips, one for each table or group. Cut each sentence into separate words and have them ready in a pile for each group before your kids come to class. Have directions on the board for your students to form the words into a sentence and then to separate words according to parts of speech (i.e. noun, adjective, verb, etc.). You may want to have them put a different color mark on the cards corresponding to the part of speech.
