As you know, kids love being in the limelight! In order to give each student a chance to do this, let them be the focus for a week. Have them bring in photos, award they've won, special stuffed animal "friends," etc. that they can showcase in a particular area of the room. The week can begin by the student explaining what they have in their display and answering a few questions from their classmates. You may also want to have them do some of the "fun" jobs for their spotlight week--they can tell the daily temperature, discuss the calendar and the day's events.
