Give each student an index card that they keep at their desk. Anytime you see someone doing something special, such as: really working hard, helping a classmate, or doing any other kind of "good deed," stamp their index card with a unique stamper. Have a rewards sheet posted telling students what they can do when they get a certain number of stamps. For example, for 5 stamps they get a cool sticker; for 10 stamps, they can get extra computer time; for 15 stamps, they get a free homework pass, etc. This will give some students extra incentive to do well in class.
