Using the blackboard, make a Hangman-style game. Choose a word or series of words for your class to guess. You may want to give hints or clues or you may want to make the words deal with a certain topic. To play the game, draw the appropriate number of spaces for each letter in the word or phrase and have students take turns suggesting new letters. Fill in the blanks when letters are correctly guessed and start building the picture of the hangman piece-by-piece when letters are incorrectly guessed. This game is an excellent vocabulary builder.
