Sponge Activities

Basic Stretching

Have your kids join you on the rug or in an open area of your classroom where they can spread out. Have them follow you through a series of stretching exercises. Some basic stretches include:
  • finger to toes
  • reaching for the sky
  • arm circles
  • leg stretches on the floor
  • side-bends
Relaxing in this way for a few minutes helps stretch the mind too. Kids will be better prepared to go back to work!
