Have a time each week or month where you invite parents to come in and teach students a particular activity or lesson. Many parents know a craft or are knowledgeable in very specific topics that may interest your children. Have a schedule for parents so they may sign up to teach, and so you can set aside time for their visits. You may also want to encourage the parents to work with their child when teaching the lesson or activity. You will find that most parents have something unique to bring to your classroom! And, of course, kids love learning from parents.
