Parent-Teacher Notebook

It is often difficult to meet with parents regularly because of conflicting schedules/times. In order to stay in contact with them, send home a Parent-Teacher Notebook, where you may write about their child's progress or any problems happening in class. The students will take these home to their parents. Parents should then respond to your comments. Of course, not all parents will use this method, but it is often effective for those that have busy schedules. For older students, you may want to allow them to write in these notebooks as well, so that they may respond to what you say before their parents can read and comment.
