Bell Work

Most Used Letters Tally

Provide a newspaper for each table or group. Have students each pick an article. The assignment is for them to tally the usage of each letter in the article. You may provide a simple list of letters or let them decide how to proceed. Let them count for a certain amount of time and then compare results. What letter was used most, least used, etc?
